Okowa, Jite get votes of confidence over developmental strides

 As a result of their visible developmental strides in  inspite of paucity of funds, the women leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in all the 10 wards of Udu Local Government Area of Delta State and the Local Government woman leader  have passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Delta State Dr.  Ifeanyi Okowa and the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council Hon.Chief Jite Brown(JP).

The women leaders from all the  10 wards  in Udu Local Government and Local Government women leader passed the confidence vote on duo recently when they paid a congratulatory visit to the Udu Council boss at his office in  Otor-Udu, Headquarters of Udu Local Government.

Speaking on behalf of the women leaders, the Udu Local Government PDP woman leader Mrs.Ufuoma Edewor who lauded the  Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for Commissioning and completing the Ovwian Road, commencing the Ekete Inland Road project and for giving appointment to 40 sons and daughters of Udu extraction  as Liaison officers,  revealed that the good people of Udu Kingdom will vote massively in order to return Dr.IfeanyOkowa to Government House Asaba come 2019.

Edewor who eulogised the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council Hon.Chief Jite Brown for his leadership prowess, confessed that with the emergence of the Aberen of Udu Kingdom as the Udu Council boss, Udu Council will witness monumental development. She also congratulated the Chairman for his landslide victory at the just concluded polls, stressing that  the present LG legislators are all PDP members, this is the  only time the ruling party has won 100 percent in Udu she added.   Speaking further Edewor thanked the Udu Council boss for flagging off immunization in Udu after 10 years,  visit to Ogbe-Udu Thunderstorm victims, visit to all Health Centres in Udu Council, settling of the leadership crisis in Owhrode among others.  They later presented a plaque to the Chairman. 

On his part, the  Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Hon Chief Jite thanked the women for their unflinching efforts towards making him the Council Chairman, he pleaded with the women to replicate same for Dr.Ifeany Okowa in 2019 elections. The Udu Council Boss stated that the Udu PDP is one indivisible family.
