DELTA DECIDES 2019.
URHOBO PEOPLE OF DELTA CENTRAL WANTS GOV OKOWA RE-ELECTED, AMORI TO REPLACE SENATOR AGEGE IN 2019.
...URHOBO REVIVAL ALLIANCE IS A FAKE PROPAGANDA GROUP FOR AGEGE, OGBORU FACTION OF APC.
Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has berated a group known as Urhobo Revival Alliance over a misleading advertorial in the Vanguard Newspaper of Thursday September 27, 2018 at page 20, titled: WHY OTEGA MUST NOT BE APC'S FLAG BEARER IN DELTA CENTRAL.
Okowa's EA Communications in a statement noted that the said advertorial was signed by Earnest Ogodovame and Dafe Owhofa, describing them as psuedo names used by Senator Ovie Omo Agege and Chief Great Ogboru, pointing out that the issues raised in the publication are both laughable and cheap propaganda by two desperate political contractors in Urhobo Nation.
Oghenesivbe further asserted that the Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, has been endorsed by the good people of Delta Central as their 2019 sole governorship aspirant and candidate, a development that has become a constant nightmare for the politically inexperienced Delta APC leaders including Ogboru and Senator Agege.
He berated leaders of APC in the state, particularly Chief Ogboru, Senator Ovie Omo Agege and Olorogun Otega Emerhor, for promoting ethnic politics of bitterness in Delta Central, especially crude tribal sentiments in electioneering campaigns in a peaceful Delta, with the principal objective of heating the polity; cause mayhem through the selfish re-introduction of the 2015 failed Urhobo Governor project that divided the leadership of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) and weakened it's structures till date.
"The warped publication alleged to have been sponsored by Agege and Ogboru goes to no issue as the points raised lacked credibility and devoid of commonsense. It is in public domain that the duo of Ogboru and Agege joined the APC to fight Emerhor who they claimed ruined Ogboru's chance of becoming Urhobo Governor in 2015 via the instrumentality of the vexed Uvwiamuge Declaration that became a curse for the Chief Joe Omene's UPU.
"As a matter of fact, the people of Delta Central have resolved to vote out Senator Ovie Omo Agege and replace him with Senator Ighoyota Amori, for obvious reasons. Agege is more or less a political thug being used by the radical Buharists to cause mayhem and division in Urhobo Nation as was the case in 2015.
"Agege broke record as the first Urhobo lawmaker to be rusticated and suspended till date by the leadership of the Senate and National Assembly. He brought shame and disgrace to Urhobo Nation through his irresponsible legislative rascality devoid of maturity and dignity.
"Agege, it was who dragged the good image of Urhobo Nation through political swamp by championing and sponsoring the stealing of mace during plenary at the red chambers and was suspended for his criminal activities. Therefore, it can never be true that Urhobo Nation want Agege re-elected in 2019, a man who brought shame and disgrace to Delta Central.
"It is the peak of black propaganda for the fake Urhobo Revival Alliance publication to link Olorogun Emerhor to either Gov Okowa or PDP. Emerhor is the father of APC in Delta State while Ogboru and Agege are political hustlers who want to reap where they did not sow. Delta APC leaders are free to fight themselves till Jesus comes, but must of a necessity do so within their fast decaying party and never to point accusing fingers at PDP or Gov Okowa, going forward.
"Deltans especially Urhobo people of Delta Central should ignore Ogboru and Agege's cheap propaganda and blackmail. Gov Okowa has done well and have demonstrated excellent leadership qualities through balanced political appointments, overall development of the three senatorial districts and detribalised leadership.
"Delta Central is for PDP, Gov Okowa and Senator Ighoyota Amori, as can be seen from the recent massive defection by thousands of APC supporters to PDP during the last PDP mega rally held in Ughelli North, home base of Senator Ovie Omo Agege.
"Come 2019, Adams Oshiomole and his federal election rigging might shall be disgraced in Delta State," Oghenesivbe said.
