Nigeria at 59: Overare Charges Youths To Be Nation Builders.
..........Admonish Youths against drug abuse and violence.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Hon Blessing Prescious Overare wishes all Nigerians particularly the Youths a peaceful and prosperous Independence.
We recognize that as young people, we have an enormous responsibility towards nation building and as we celebrate this year's Independence. I urge the Youths to continue to make a meaningful contributions to the development of Nigeria as future leaders of the nation.
Let us take that responsibility with seriousness, pride and joy; as young people it is often called upon us to lay the foundation on which a nation can be built. Recognizing the need for soundness of mind, good character, integrity, resourcefulness and skills. Do not feel isolated or without support, for this beautiful nation possesses the treasures and relevant resources from which to begin. Our forefathers made it possible for us to not just survive but to "thrive". That's is why it is important to value education as it is the single most effective tool you can possess to transform yourself and the society of which you belong.
And I am using this medium to advise you as youth to shun drug abuse and other social violence.
I am a Youth representative to the Governor and I will represent you people positively.
