The Vice Chairman, Uvwie local Government Council, Chief Napoleon Akpomiemie Newyear Iffie today in Uvwie local Government Area of Delta state provided relief materials to the Traditional Prime ministers, Women and Youth of the Kingdom.
According to Chief Iffie this period is a challenging period to all of us. No one saved money awaiting this period but for the love I have for my people I decided today to present this items to my people to cushion the effects of stay at home order of the state Government.
Presenting the items, 4 cows, 10 bags of rice, A bag of Onions, 50 Cartons of Noodles and 100 tubers of yam at the residence of The Unuevworo of Ekpan High Chief Peter Iffie (The Onorame r'uvwie) Chief Napoleon Newyear Iffie said that he felt challenged by the unprecedented Benevolence of Chief Uduaghan (The Elema of Warri Kingdom) who is not even a politician but share food items to different communities outside his local Governmentand tribe.
He also called on every resident of the Kingdom to make washing of hands frequently a daily routine and to imbibe the act of social distancing.
Receiving the Gift on behalf of the Unuevworo of Ekpan, chief Mavis Odubu thanked Chief Napoleon Newyear Iffie for his generosity. We are not surprised because the man Newyear is synonym to Giving. This is not the first time and we are proud of him. He also called on the good people of Uvwie to emulate this kind gesture.
He also thanked him for providing 6 units of Water system toilet, borehole, and Generator at Ekpan market.
The youth leaders and the representatives of the 9 eche of the Kingdom called on the blessed indigenes of Uvwie to remember those who cannot feed. We are proud of Newyear because he doesn't segregate. He is one man we are very proud of; Youth leader Stanley Ashigbagba said.
