IYEDE HOST UGHELLI NORTH PDP CANDIDATES, URGED THEM TO WORK HARDER. By: Inari Desmond

Orogun - As activities towards the January 6th 2018 local government election takes top gear, Innocent Iyede today, held a strategic meeting with Ughelli North PDP chairmanship candidate, Godwin Adode, his vice and councillorship candidates of Ughelli North constituency I.

The strategic meeting which took place at his country home in Orogun, among other issues, unearth strategies to give a knockout blow to opposition parties in the constituency.

According to Innocent Iyede, PDP's victory in the forthcoming election is paramount, hence party leaders and members must not lose eye on sleep in their various units, wards and local government areas.

Mr. Innocent Iyede who admonished the PDP candidates not to go to sleep on the belief of PDP's grassroot consolidated support, urged them to work harder, said, politics like a game of football, it is not over until it is over.

The front runner aspirant for  Ughelli North Constituency I house of assembly, Mr. Innocent Iyede, during the meeting, encouraged the candidates with financial assistance and promised to partner with them to ensure the party's victory in the area.

Innocent Iyede who referred to his gesture as a token considering the cost of running elections in Nigeria, said, it was meant to encourage them and affirm his support for their 2018 project.

He said, a little with joyful heart is better than much given with an unpleasant heart, and stated that, he is happy to have them emerged from outcome of the primaries and aftermath screening.

Iyede said, though the candidates have their preferred aspirants in view of the 2019 Ughelli North constituency I house of assembly election said, we need the best as we have Godwin Adode and the present crop of councillorship candidates to represent the party and people of the constituency/local government.

He vouch that Godwin Adode's administration will be a more youth-friendly dispensation as a youth friendly figure and described him as a chairman of the youths.

Godwin Adode who appreciated Iyede's gesture on behalf of the candidates, said, his gesture, is a big challenge to others to emulate, and urged him to continue his good work in the constituency, and described it as a face-lift.

The Ughelli North constituency I candidates led by the chairmanship candidate include: Victor Uyo- Vice chairmanship candidate, Chief A.F Oki-Orogun ward 3/7, Ochuko Adjemuare-Orogun ward 1/5, Felix O. Oderhowho-Orogun 4/8, Chief Ese Osawota Orogun ward 2/6, Anthonia Imoniwherha-Orogun ward 5/9,.

Others include Otega Asore-Ogor ward 1, Rachael Idowan-Ogor ward 2, Sam Felix Otobore Agbarha ward 2, Chief Joseph Mudjere -Agbarha ward 1, Odemo Obukadeta- Evwreni ward 1.
