INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER AWARD, A WELL DESERVED ONE TO AN ACHIEVER - ASIUWHU

It was a thing of pride, joy and excitement when I watched honor given unto whom it was due last night, as my boss, father and mentor, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta state bagged the Independent Newspaper Man of the Year Award, an Award so coveted by over one hundred and eighty million Nigerians.

No doubt, it was a result of conscious efforts at alleviating the living standards of each and every Deltan. I most times marvel at the speed at which our state is getting a new look, a speed which competes favorably with that of light.

The Ekwueme of our time, who has been able to achieve numerous goals within a short period, a man young at heart, yet experienced at mind. This award is most definitely one of which speaks volume of your countless achievements in the growth of our dear state.

Infrastructurally, we have become the envy of many states. The Road master, the 25ocal Government Areas have been assisted by the Independent Newspaper to appreciate your touch in every nook and cranny of the state.

Your Excellency sir, I on behalf of all Party faithfuls in Patani Local Government Area of Delta state, my political followers and my immediate family, humbly wishes to congratulate you on this great feat.

Soar higher, as we continue delivering the SMART dividends of Democracy to our people.
