Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru, has Started Consulting with Leaders of his Party, which happens to be the largest Party in Africa, People's Democratic Party, with special focus to Delta-State and with particular reference, to Warri-South Local Government Area, on his laudable intention(s) and ambition(s), towards Contesting/Vying for his Candidatureship Seat, for the Exalted Position to occupy the vacant space, usually allotted to Warri-South Constituency II, in the Delta State House of Assembly' 2019.
I want to mention here, unequivocally Thatcher Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru, has deem it right as always, to first of all, go to pay a Courtesy visit to Chief Hon Barr Dennis Oghenebukome Omovie, to have a tete a' tete with him, by revealing his noble intention and ambition, as he is the one who is currently occupying the position that is being vied for and hence his visitation, was highly cherished and encouraged and most especially considering the fact, this is the third(3rd) time of making the effort to Contest for the said office, the above visit to Hon Dennis Omovie, took place on 2nd February, 2018.
Subsequently, the following day, which was 3rd February, 2018, Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru, went with his followers to pay a similar visit to Hon Omimi Esquire, Political Adviser (POLAD) to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, in his Country Home in Egbokodo Itsekiri and Hon Opuoru was admonished, not to treat the issue of his intention wit a Kid glove, by ensuring that he is not sectional in his Political dealings and prayed that the candidate should work assiduously and tirelessly and that he should to carry everybody in his Constituency along as he progresses further and also spoke of some of the good qualities of Hon Opuoru to include:- Commitment, Dedicated, Proactive and very attentive to Party guidelines, rules and regulations and also very loyal to his superiors. Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru, has also shown his exemplary commitment to the People's Democratic Party, Warri South Chapter, by single handedly, renovated and furnished, the Party's Secretariat, in Esisi Road, where he spent fortune of his hard earned income, in order to propergate and promote, the well being of our great Party of which no Candidate/Aspirant has ever ventured into such voluntary projects of this nature, in the History of Warri South Politics. Finally, on the 8th February, 2018, Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru, paid a Courtesy visitation, to one of the son of the soil and who happens to be a Political Aide, to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, in the person of Chief Dr Israel Abido, in his Country Home in Ekpan, a frontline Chief in the Agbarah Kingdom. The Agbarah born chief, admonished the aspirant/candidate, that he believes so much in level playing ground, where merit and performance are his watch word and not just knowing someone that matters and he further admonished the House of Assembly Hopeful, come 2019, Warri South 11 Constituency, in the Delta State, House of Assembly, to be resilience and resolute, if he succeeds in getting the Party's ticket and subsequently into for the vacant seat in Constituency Ii, The Agbarah born chief, added that he doesn't believe in sentiments, implying that you are Urhobo and you hold something belonging to the Itsekiri people and you should endeavour to deliver accordingly and conversely too Chief Abido used Pessu ward as a case study, where it fell under Constituency Ii, that anything that belongs to the Itsekiri's should be given promptly to the them without prejudice. Simple put,most electorate(s) in this Constituency Ii, has been yearning to have Hon Matt Opuoru on board, because of his developmental strides and his vision to assist most the powerless and the oppressed and when he was made Commissioner, he did something very spectacular by the appointment of his legislative aids, by sharing it between the ethnic groups, ie to the Itsekiri's, Okere Urhobo's and to Agbarah Urhobos and the sharing firmular use shows how unbiased he is..
Similarly considering Matthew Poko Opuoru, empowerment scheme cutting across ethnic divide...I see him as a detribalized Wafarian who stand in equinimity with the people of his domain...
