Okowa's Project 2019: Udu Council Chair, Jite Charges HOSTCOM on PVCs, Massive Vote.
Ahead of the 2019 Gubernatorial election in Delta State, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council Hon.Chief Jite Brown (JP) has charged the Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil & Gas (HOSTCOM) Udu women's wing, under the leadership of High Comr Emma Eyakagba to get their Permanent Voters Cards so as to vote massively for the Executive Governor of Delta State Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa come 2019. The Udu Council Boss gave this charge today 24/03/18 at his country home of Aladja community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State when the group paid him a courtesy visit. The Aberen of Udu Kingdom who revealed that Okowa meant well for all Deltans inspite of paucity of funds, maintained that Okowa has empowered women from the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State since he assumed office via different empowerment programmes. The Udu Council Chairman promised to work harmoniously with the women so as to meet some of their needs.
In her response the leader of the group, Mrs. Anna Nikoro who thanked the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government for the warm reception inspite of the short notice given to him,stated that his emergence as the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government is a square peg in square hole. While extolling the leadership qualities of Hon. Chief Jite Brown, she confessed that the group which is a pressure group will work assiduously with him so as to return Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to Government House come 2019. She equally appealed to Udu women who have not gotten their Permanent Voters Card to do the needful to avert being disenfranchised.
