ULTRA-MODERN 1000-CAPACITY TANKERS AND TRAILERS PARK AT NIGER-CAT ROAD, EKPAN UVWIE LGA UNDER WAY




Motorists plying the busy NPA Expressway can now heaven a sigh of relief, as the indiscriminate parking of Tankers and Trailers along the Road which poses danger will soon be a thing of the past.

This is because the Delta State Government has Commenced the construction of an ultra-modern one thousand capacity Tankers and Trailers Park at Ekpan community in Uvwie Local Government Area.

Correspondent John Glover and Emmanuel Ojighodovwan, reports that the Commissioner for Transport, Mr Vincent Uduaghan was on ground  to monitor work of on the Site.

Speaking in an interview, Mr Vincent Uduaghan said the Project which is being carried out through the State Government's public-private partnership arrangement will be completed speedily as it is very dear to the State Governor, Dr lfeanyi Okowa.

Mr Uduaghan noted that the ultramodern Tankers and Trailers Park when completed will accommodate one thousands trucks, which will check the indiscriminate parking of Tankers and Trailers along the NPA Expressway.

He Stated that the indiscriminate parking of Trucks and Trailers along the NPA Expressway has resulted to road traffic crashes, resulting in loss of several man-work hours.

The Transport Commissioner commended the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Abe the First and the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Sir Bright Edejeghwro, for their efforts in ensuring the successful take off of the project.

He urged residents of the host community to cooperate with the contractor handling the project, noting that when completed, will boost the socio-economic activities of the Area.

The District Chairman of Niger-Cat Road Ekpan, Mr Stanley Ashubuga who spoke on behalf residents expressed happiness at the take-off of the project and promised to give all necessary assistance to ensure a smooth completion of the project.

The ultramodern Tankers and Trailers Park when completed will have First Station, Supermarket, Police Post and Guest House.
