THE WARRI SOUTH LGA CHAIRPERSON BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAME



The Wife of the Chairman Warri South Local Government Council, Mrs Juliet O. Tidi, enjoins the Primary School children of Pessu, Agbasa, Orugbo and Ukpokiti primary schools, to take education seriously, since education is the bedrock of a nation.

Mrs Juliet Tidi, made the call during the flag off of her pet project tagged back to school, today Wednesday 26th, September 2018, in some selected public primary schools in the council area.

She explained that what necessitated the move was her sympathy for the less privileged and her soft spot for children and the people of Warri South Local Government Council as she's committed to take out of school children back to school.

In a related development, the Wife of the Secretary of the Warri South Local Government Council, Mrs Lawrenta Oribioye who represented the wife of Warri South Chairman at Orugbo Primary School, said that one of the reasons pupils do not go to school is due to the lack of learning materials, that if they have learning materials they will be in school, every child can get educated no matter where they are.

She therefore, encouraged parents to make adequate provision for their children to enable them have good education.

The schools were agog as the entire pupils including teachers and headmistress of the schools danced, sang and prayed for Mrs Juliet Tidi as they received notebooks and school uniforms free of charge.
The Warri South LGA Chairperson Back to School team also  visited Ukpokiti Primary School, Ukpokiti the wife of the LGA Chairman was ably represented the by the supervisory Councillor for Education Hon. Linda Ikpuri.

The headmistress of Pessu Primary School Comrade Idoze Beauty Utieyin and the headmistress of  Agbassa Primary School, Mrs Victoria Efetobo including the headmistress  of Orugbo Primary School, Mrs Eunice Okorogri,expressed deep appreciation for the kind gestures, show and display of love and affection Mrs Tidi extended to the pupils, that such has never been experienced by them before.

Present at the event is the Councillor representing Orugbo, McDermott and Obodo Ward Hon. Fombo Misan Hon. Femi Okorodiden, Hon. Andrew Okotie  Supervisory Council for Agriculture Hon. Henry Mayuku, Supervisory Councillor for Environment Hon. Patricia Edun, , Hon Mavis, Special Adviser to the Warri South Chairman Hon. Tosan Kukune, PA on Environment Mr Soji Dairo, Special assistant on Media and Publicity Comr Omawumi Elete and others

High point of the occassion was the distribution of school notebooks and school uniforms to the pupils.
