DELTA APC IN DISARRAY AS 2015 OTEGA EMERHOR'S RUNNING MATE, VANDERPUYE ABANUM DEFECTS TO PDP.
All Progressives Congress (APC), 2015 running mate to Olorogun Otega Emerhor, Chief Vanderpuye Abanum has said that Delta APC is a sick party that cannot be cured of its acute ailment before and after the 2019 general elections.
He made the disclosure at the Delta North PDP Mega rally in Kwale on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 while defecting to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) with thousands of supporters.
According to him, Chief Great Ogboru and other waring leaders of the fast decaying APC are expired politicians with litle or no electoral value, adding that they are seasonal political contractors who usually appear 10 months to general elections to trade with their supporters votes.
Abanum, a retired Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Director further asserted in a chat with Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, that everything went wrong in Delta APC to the point where the two factions headed by Ogboru and Emerhor produced separate governorship, Senatorial and House of Assembly candidates.
He noted that the show of shame in Delta APC metamorphosed into multifaceted irreconcilable dimension resulting in multiple legal tussels that has consumed the party beyond redemption, pointing out that the CHANGE which APC and President Muhammadu Buhari promised Nigerians in 2015 has become a mere political propaganda and campaign deceit.
Abanum urged Nigerians and the good people of Delta State to vote out APC and President Buhari in 2019, so as to rescue Nigeria from the firm grip of poverty, inflation, acute hunger, joblessness, insecurity, ethnic and tribal politics as can be seen from the disjointed Buhari and APC administration at the centre.
"Today, I am a free man from a party bedevilled by petty squabbles, cluelessness, acute leadership tussles and bitter politics nurtured by hate, political insanity and black propaganda of the highest proportion.
"APC Delta is a house of horrors and no right thinking Deltan would want to identify with such a political association; talkless of winning the 2019 general elections.
"We are proud of the numerous achievements of our amiable governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the newly re-branded PDP hence my humbleself and other leaders of Delta APC including thousands of our supporters decided to join the progressive and winning party, PDP.
"We shall work accidiously towards the landslide victory of our presidential and governorship candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, and I urge Deltans and Nigerians to vote PDP and her candidates in the forthcoming general elections," Abanum said.
Executive Assistant to Gov Okowa on Communications, Dr Fred Oghenesivbe congratulated Abanum for his proactive steps in partisan politics and for moving away from darkness (APC) into light (PDP).
"I recall our efforts in trying to make things work in Delta APC but to no avail, which eventually prompted my early exit from the party and never looked back even when I was offered a joicy board appointment.
"I am most delighted that you and other members of the retrogressive APC finally took the right steps by joining our mega party, PDP. APC is a moving corpse ready for final funeral ceremony in 2019.
"You are welcome to the SMART FAMILY where Gov Okowa lead and others follow.
"We are strong and ever united. Internal democracy in PDP is superb and the transparent conduct of the governorship primaries and National Convention by Gov Okowa and his team attests to the roburst enthusiasm flowing from top to bottom in our great party," Oghenesivbe posited.
