EBIE RECIEVES THE EXECUTIVES OF HOME ECONOMICS TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA, DELTA BRANCH

Home economics teachers in the state have been enjoined to remain passionate about their job so as to build the core value of effective home management in the children they are teaching.

The Secretary to the Delta State Government Chiedu Ebie Esq, gave the charge today when he received on a courtesy call, the Executives of Home Economics Teachers Association of Nigeria, (HETAN) Delta state Branch.

Mr. Ebie who noted ( HETAN) was one of the first Associations he became familiar with as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in the state, said he had always admired the commitment of the members of the association and encouraged them to keep it up as government would continue to give the necessary support towards the development of education in the state.

He thanked members of the association for finding time to identify and felicitate with him in his appointment praying that God will also strengthen them in all their endeavours.

Earlier, the President of the Association Mrs. Evelyn Onatuoja said they came to felicitate with the SSG on his appointment, adding that it was well deserved given his feat in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education as commissioner.

She stated that the Association’s  national conference will be taking place in Taraba state later in the year and appealed for government’s  support to enable members of  the Association in the state  attend; even as she pledged the continued support of the members in contributing to the development of education in the state by being alive to their duties.
