1. Oshiomhole Must Resign, APC NEC Members Insist

Some aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council (NEC) have demanded that the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, resign his position. The Chairman of Zamfara chapter of the party, Lawal Liman, who led the aggrieved NEC members, made the call on Friday while speaking with journalists in Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari has rubbished the reports that he is seeking a third term as Nigeria’s leader. Buhari was speaking at a meeting of the national executive committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Friday.

Convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, has filed a suit against the Department of State Services (DSS) challenging his detention. The human rights activist asked a federal high court to award N500 million in his favour as cost against the secret police for the violation of his rights.

8. Kano Guber: Appeal Court Gives Verdict On Ganduje’s Election

The election of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State was on Friday upheld by the Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna. In a unanimous ruling by the five-man panel of Appeal Court Judges led by Justice Tijjani Abubakar, the court said that the appeal filed by Abba Kabiru Yusuf and his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lacks merit.
