Don't be intimidated, Oshiomhole tell Edo APC members

Saraki, other decampee senators have been punished by Nigerians – Oshiomhole

From Tony Akowe

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has asked leaders and members of the party in Edo state to remain focus and not be intimidated in the face of organised harassment against them.
Chief Press Secretary to the APC chairman Simon Egbuebulem quote Oshiomhole in a statement as telling the party leaders in Edo north when he received PDP decampees that they should not allowed themselves be pushed into a fight.
The statement said Oshiomhole expressed appreciation to the parry members and those who joined the APC from the PDP who came out to support the APC despite the earlier tension leading to the burning of podium and canopies meant for the rally by armed thugs loyal to the state government.
Egbuegbulem said the decampees were led by a two time member of the House of Representatives and the Edo North Senatorial candidate of the PDP, Hon Abubakar Momoh.
He said  that Oshiomhole told the people that “those who think they have power to fight should channel such energy against the opposition parties. What is happening here should reinforce our confidence in God, when God decrees peace, nothing can stop it, when God is there for us, no man born of woman can stop us.”
The APC national Chair urged APC members to integrate the new members from the unit to the highest level “so that as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari, the APC will be a different party. When I was told that they burnt this place last night, I said they be prepared to put more fire in other places because they can’t stop us.
“I don’t want to be a national Chairman who will campaign across the country and will not be able to win his polling unit because politics is local. There are people who think that when they reach a high level, they forget the local.
” I was governor before now I am no longer governor, I am national chairman today, tomorrow I will no longer be national chairman. Let me tell those people in high places that the only permanent place is the grassroot politics is a game of numbers not a game for the powerful because on election day all have one vote.
“I want to urge all unit leaders, ward Leaders, local government leaders and state leaders to integrate all those who have just joined us” he stated.”
