COVID-19: GOV OKOWA IS GOD'S SENT, SAYS HOPE GEORGE - directreporters

..Commends Hon. (Dr) Michael Tidi, Sen. James Manager and Chief Thomas Ereyitomi for their unwavering support and commitment

The Chieftain of People's Democratic Party PDP, in Warri South LGA Ambassador Comrade Hope George who is also a Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Delta State on Political affairs  commended Gov Okowa for doling huge quantities of  food palliatives to the vulnerable poor and less privileged across Delta State. Honourable Hope George made this statement and commendations at Warri South Local Government Area Secretariat, Warri during the distribution of the food items to the 12 Wards that made up of Warri South Local Government Area.

He thanked His Excellency,  Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for putting the people first in all he does to better humanity and strengthen the peoples faith in governance.


The large food items which was distributed across the state wards and units was well appreciated by the people based on the economic hardship beneath among the vulnerable poor and the less privileged in society occasioned by the Delta State Government COVID-19 Lockdown order.

However, he applauded his brothers and friends, the Executive Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Honourable Dr. Michael Tidi and his Committee members for the transparent process being employed in the sharing of the food items as palliative to the good people of warri south local government area.

He said he's quite convinced that with the calibre of persons in the committee, the less privileged and the aged people at the various Wards will benefit from this laudable Government gesture aimed at making the beneficiaries heave sighs of relief, he cheers.

 He also wish to appreciate and commend Senator James Manager, Senator Representing Delta South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Abuja for the cash support of two Million Naira (#2,000,000) each to the Eight Local Government Areas of Delta South Senatorial District, namely Warri North, Warri South, Warri South West, Isoko North, Isoko South, Burutu, Bomadi and Patani Local Government Areas.

Subsequently, he said, he 'll not fail to commend as well as appreciate Hon. Chief Thomas Ereyitomi (JP), Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency, Federal House of Representatives at the Green Chamber, Abuja for the cash gift of three Million Naira (3,000,000) each to the three Warri Local Government Areas of Warri North, Warri South and Warri South West.

Afterwards, he thanks all Deltans for their patience and understanding over this harsh economy due to novel virus called coronavirus pandemic spread across the globe that's has caused a lot of total economic and social knockdown, he assured them of state government commitment to work hard to curtail spread of the deadly virus, he asserted.

He also advise all citizens to continue to be hopeful, prayerful and stay at home, stay safe during this lockdown period as a government precautionary measures to avoid contraction and further spread of the deadly virus, he said.
