DELTA LOCKDOWN: ADODE COMMENDS GOV OKOWA FOR FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTIONS ACROSS 25 LGAs - directreporters

The Executive Chairman, Ughelli North local government area, Chief (Hon) Godwin Adode JP, has commended the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa for his undoubted love and commitment over the prompt response of "Delta Food Bank" distribution across the 25 LGAs of Delta State.

Hon Godwin Adode said, that the Governor's love for Deltans is undiluted, describing him as a true leader and a detribalized Deltan, who has shown great leadership excellence and administrative commitment as a Governor"

The Council Boss, specifically thanked and appreciated the Governor, Sen (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa for the food items brought to Ughelli North as part of the state palliative package to cushion the effect of the COVID-19, novel virus disease that has been killing thousands of people across the globe.

He said, the food items which was meant specifically for the aged people, vulnerable poor and the needy, will go a long way to help and assist our elderly fathers and mothers in the state.

He further expressed heartfelt gratitude to all Ughelli North PDP leaders and appointees, for their cooperation and understanding during this lockdown period, where many on their individual kindness gave out cash, food items, face masks and sanitizers to our people which he recognized the love and commitment shown by the following leaders, David Edevbie, Ovie Agas, Hon Eric Oharisi, Prof. Patrick Muobogare, Hon Sunday Orishedere, Hon Kelly Oghenekevwe and others.

He thereafter, commended the selfless service and hardwork of the committee at various levels for their true patriotism and commitment during the exercise, he said.

Hon. Godwin Adode however, called on all Deltans to support the Governor in fighting this global pandemic spread virus (COVID-19). He also advised them to abide by the state govt directive to stay at home and maintain social distancing.

He assured Deltans that food items and other support will continue to be made available to them as our amiable Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is determined to put smiles on the faces of all Deltans, because he said hunger is also a killer virus, he appealed.

He thanked Deltans for their cooperation and understanding during this lockdown period, as he also encourages all citizens particularly Deltans to continue to pray and put God first in all we do, that men can only do little, but God does it all. He assured that as it's only God Almighty will deliver us from this plague, he said.

Finally, he thanked the leadership of party, PDP for standing by the Governor,  their support and steadfastness during this lockdown period of coronavirus pandemic spread across the globe, he asserted.
