Exactly A Year Ago, The Amakashe Of Oghara Kingdom Rep. Ben Rollands Igbakpa Officially Assumed His Role As The Honourable Member Representing Ethiope East/ West Federal Constituency At The House Of Representatives.Having Satisfied With The Splendid Outcome Of Many Months Of Electioneering Campaigns, He Set Out On To Begin A Defining Responsibility That Was Projected To Fetch Many Benefits For His Constituents.
Retrospect, June 11 2019, Is A Providential Day For Rep. Igbakpa. Commemoratively, The Anniversary Of This Day Opens The Window Of Reflection And Appreciation. Looking Back On The Past Year, Igbakpa Reckons Just How Much Of The Grace Of God He Has Enjoyed And His Unburdened By The Responsibility To Serve His People In The Most Enviable Way.
During This One Year Assessment Period, Rep Ben Igbakpa Has Done Commendably In His Role And Has Moved Noteworthy Motions On Herder Killings,Oghara Mosogar Collapse Bridge, Chinese Loan, Sponsored Transformational Bills ( Bill For An Act To Make The Prohibitions Of Stigmatization Of Insurgency Or Militancy From Integration With The Community And To Provide For The Prosecution And Punishment Of Any Person Or Group Of Persons Who Stigmatises Such Victims) And Presented Petitions (On Warri Refinery And Petro Chemical Company And Contract Staff) In The Floor Of The House. He Has Also Pursued Novel And Practical Initiative Including The Employment Of 30 Liaison Officers And The Empowerment Of More Than 500 Constituents, And 2 Constituency Office In Both Constituency Amongst Many Impressive And Meaningful Feats.
In A Special Message To His Constituents, Igbakpa Indicates This Chapter Of His Life Inspires Him To Be A Better Person For Himself And For The Betterment Of The People He Represents.
He Said: “The last One Year Has Been Very Interesting And Challenging, Especially With The Distractions Of The Election Petitions. Despite That, We Remained Resolute And Determined To Deliver, Even If We Had To Stay For A Brief Period. For Me, The People Comes First And It Will Always Remain So”.
*My Life Till Date Is Credited To The Glory And Grace Of God And To My People, Who Have Continued To Support Me To Render Quality Representations. Your Prayers For Us To Succeed In This Quest For Development Has Not Been Futile And I Know God Will Continue To Hear Us Whenever We Pray*.
“In This One Year, I Have Been Able To Initiate Some Legislative Headways, Both Directly Intended For The Benefit Of Our Constituency, And For The Interests Of Nigerians In General. I Am The First Person To Always Admit That We Have Not Done Enough Because I Know Our People, And Indeed Nigerians, Want To See The Best Bits Of Quality Representation At The National Assembly. One Year Down, And I Pray That God Grants Us Many More Years To Sustain The Momentum We Started With”
