Udu Is Peaceful Jite Assures Delta State NYSC Co-ordinator.

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council Hon. Chief Jite Brown (JP) has again reaffirmed that Udu Local Government is peaceful. The Udu Council Boss who gave the assurance today Wednesday 17/06/20 when the Delta State Co-ordinator of the National Youth Service Corps( NYSC) Mrs. Samuel Olutayo    paid him a courtesy visit at Otor-Udu, Headquarters of Udu Local Government Council, maintained that the Council would prioritise the welfare and security of corps members posted to the Local Government Council for the one year mandatory service.

On her part,  Mrs. Olutayo  while  thanking Hon. Chief Jite for the warm reception accorded her team, said she met the decision of not posting of  Corps members to Udu Local Government on assumption of office because it was said that the Council was not safe for corps members as a  result of crisis. She however reiterated that she had since rescinded her decision after a delegation from the Ovie of Udu Kingdom Owhoru 1st to her office at Asaba.

It would be recalled that the Ovie of Udu Kingdom Owhoru 1st on the 22/01/20  sent a delegation led by the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council Hon Chief Jite Brown to NYSC  office Asaba which also included High Chief Jefia Notoma President General of Udu Kingdom,  High Chief Steve Sokoh immediate past President General of Udu Kingdom, Chief Luke Ogedegbe, Chief Barrister Mrs. Okene, Amb. Elvis Akpobi Coordinator not too young to lead and SA to Delta State Governor on Youths Development and Comr. Paul Idieke aka Popular where the State Coordinator assured the delegation that in no distant time she will post Corp members to Udu Local Government. The State Coordinator later visited the Ovie of Udu Kingdom HRM Barrister Bethel Delekpe and the President General of Udu Kingdom High Chief Godwin  Notoma at his temporary Palace at Aladja.

As at the time of filing this report some Corps members have been posted to the Council, as the Coordinator promised to post more.

Present at today's courtesy visit were: Hon. Justice Iyasere, Vice Chairman Udu Local Government Council, Hon. Emmanuel Kpomalefe, Hon Ernest Mereh, Comr. Johnbull Kenairu, Hon. Eki Afuevure, Hon. Lucky Jitokun, Hon. Faith,   Hon. Senta Willy among others.
