COVID-19: Isioma Okonta prays for Okowa’s family

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Social Investment programme, Chief Isioma Okonta who also doubles as the State Coordinator of Widows Special Welfare Scheme has offered prayer for the governor and members of his family to God for their speedy recovery.

Elder Okonta who held a prayer session in his office with his teams asked God to intervene in the life of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, his amiable wife Dame Edith Okowa, his daughter, Mr Chiedu Ebie, Secretary to Delta State Government and Mr Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Information, who are currently receiving treatment for COVID-19

It will be recalled that the Governor and some members of his family as well as other government functionaries task with the responsibility of fighting COVID-19 recently tested positive to the dreaded Corona Virus which resulted in the first family of Delta State going into self isolation.

Chief Okonta and his team prayed to Almighty God to grant his Excellency and members of his family and others speedy recovery.

Chief Okonta who was joined by supervisors and coordinators of the programme across the 25 local government area of the state committed the people of Delta to God for his guidance and protection against COVID-19.

He also used the opportunity to call on the people of Delta to ensure that they obey safety protocols prescribed by NCDC and the state government in order to protect themselves and members of their communities.
