WEEKEND FILE. DELTA STATE SPORTS COMMISSION EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, CHIEF TONOBOK OKOWA, CHARLES IDAHOSA, FELIX EDOSOMWAN WITH THE PEN EAGLE, FRED LATIMORE OGHENESIVBE

I was in Benin City, the Edo State capital on the invitation of Ighomo Foundation and organisers of the maiden edition of MISS NIGER DELTA BEAUTY PAGEANT slated for November, 2017.

The organisers are requesting that THE PEN EAGLE be made to Chair the Publicity Committee subject to approval of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Delta State.

The beauty pageant grand finale is likely to take place in Asaba in November and will serve as Tourists Attraction, expected to yield revenue for the state and increase patronage for the state hospitality industry.

While in Benin and at the venue of the meeting, PRESTIGE HOTEL, our amiable Chief Tonobok Okowa, Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission came calling. It was my first contact with him since I resumed duty as EA on Communications to His Excellency the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa. It was a pleasant and unforgettable moment.

Chief Tobobok Okowa congratulated and encouraged me to sustain the temple of political communication and strategic media politics.
