Delta e-library: Okowa is Committed to Building a Knowledge Based Economy - Sinebe

Asaba - Honourable Commissioner for higher education Engr Jude Sinebe has commended the state governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa for ensuring that the state e-library project was completed in record time.
Sinebe spoke to news on the sidelines at the commissioning of the modern state e-library by the Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu in Asaba.
This library project has opened new frontiers for the academic community, entrepreneurs, business men and women who intend to improve on their business as well as students who are undertaking one form of research or another he said. Stating that the library is equipped with state of the heart facilities that you can find in any library.
The Library is fully automated and calibrated to make it's operation seamless and easy for users who intend to make use of its facilities by reducing the time needed to search for materials as well as making borrowing and returning of books easy.
The library has standard internet facility with 1,000 capacity Computer Based Test (CBT) center that will serve various purpose in the state, including the private sector and consultants who render professional services.
Also, the library has two standard conference rooms for seminars and workshops, VIP readers section as well as restaurant to cater for the needs of its users.
Speaking further, Sinebe expressed optimism that with commissioning of the library and it's optimal usage will enthrone a new culture of research and improve the once dead reading culture that has eaten deep into our society.
Access to modern library makes research work easier and for this reason the governor took keen interest in ensuring that this project was given the necessary funding it deserves so that deltans can benefit from the services it provide.
The gains from this project will be seen more once the public take full advantage of this golden opportunity provided and use the facilities to improve their knowledge and aid the development of their businesses, as well as improve their knowledge and skills in enterprise and business development.
