DISTANT ME FROM UDUAGHAN'S DEFECTION, PDP IS MY HOME~ CHIEF IBORI

Following rumor flying in the social media on Chief James  Onanefe Ibori's planned defection to the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Chief Ibori's political family has roundly faulted the report.

They described the news as an expensive propaganda shut by members of APC to mislead Deltans, Nigerians and the world at large for whatever reason behind their motive.

Speaking at the country home of the Delta state former governor, his Aide on Special Duties, Hon Paul Owumi debunked the news, stating that, Chief James Onanefe Ibori is PDP personified.

He added that, just as blood cannot be separated from the heart and expect life in the body, the Odidigborigbo of Africa remain the home of PDP as a founding father.

Cautioning APC's propagandists to thread cautiously in their manner of campaign, Hon. Paul Owumi maintained that, the rumour of Chief Ibori's planned defection is laughable.

He stated that, they were surprised like every other hearer or readers of the concocted news when people in their numbers started putting calls through and sending text messages to his Boss on a matter that is no where near Odidigborigbo's desk.

When asked if Chief James Onanefe Ibori is behind Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan's defection to APC, he said, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan is a matured man who cannot be spoonfed by anyone, not even His Excellency; Chief James Onanefe Ibori.

As a matured politician and Nigeria's citizen, he reserve his right of freedom of association. Dr Uduaghan's defection to APC is his sole decision and from us, we wish him well. PDP is a house built by Chief Ibori in collaboration with others.

Anyone who did not join in building a house can vacate it for the builders. But to us and His Excellency; Chief James Onanefe Ibori, we remain gidigbah in PDP, he stated.

Reacting to the rumour, a Delta PDP chieftain and a close ally of Chief Ibori, Chief Champion Kpatege said, I am in touch with Chief James Onanefe Ibori and I can authoritatively assure you that, "The owner of a house do not vacate it for strangers". The rumour is a mere propaganda, he added.

Chief Amos in his account, said, anyone can be a political John the Baptist, for anyone to expect the Lion of Africa as the expected political Jesus in APC, is not only callous, but a wishful thinking.

While urging individuals to consider it wise to filter information before giving them a space in their hearts, he also cautioned political players to be politically disciplined by making sure they feed the public with nothing but truth always.
