MY ENGAGEMENT AND ADVOCACY: OKOWA LOVES URHOBO PEOPLE AND HE IS A BONAFIDE SON OF URHOBO NATION
On Friday 31st of August through Monday 3rd of September 2018 I was in Troy - Detroit Michigan United States of America for the Urhobo Progress Union, America 25th Convention.
At the Convention I presented to hundreds of delegates, participants and guests my thirteen page goodwill message handbook which captured my thoughts on Urhobo Nationalism, Urhobo Interest, Unity, Progress and Pride of Place as well leadership development in young people.
At the Convention I was graciously made a panelist and I personally had time to verbalize my thoughts strictly on Urhobo Nation which were already contained in my goodwill message handbook.
As part of the Convention program a City tour and Boat Cruise was organized at this platform I had the opportunity to advance my political advocacy. Here I gave out substantial number of 'Proudly Urhobo' T Shirts, with compliments from His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Governor of Delta State.
I also gave out and presented the Governor's book 'The Leadership Imperative' as Souvenirs to several Urhobo leaders in North America as well hundreds of copies of Okowaplus magazines to delegates, participants and guests.
At side meetings I had shared conversation with a lot of Urhobos in Diaspora. I took time to share my view point on Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Governance of Delta State, the Challenges and Progress Made.
I strongly advocated the need for Urhobo Nation to continually support His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor and ensure his Re elections in 2019 as it was the best option for Urhobo People who are not born to rule nor Supremacist like the Gambaris.
I showed to them that Senator Dr. Okowa through his appointment of Urhobo people in his Government has made Urhobo People key drivers of his Administration and has allowed for intergration and inclusiveness, giving Sense of belonging to all Deltans.
I made Urhobos in America know that Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa means well for Urhobo Nation and through the use of my hashtag banner ignited into their consciousness that Okowa loves Urhobo People and Nation during side events, the boat cruise and main event.
I made them know that a younger generation of Urhobo Sons and Daughters will emerge as Governor in 2023 naturally with Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa supporting and that Urhobo should not fall for the antics of those who think it is only them that can lead in Urhoboland.
It was a great time, tearing asunder lies, blackmail and propaganda by a desperate opposition led by vicious power chaser, pseudo democrats and cannonized sinners. I am glad more and more Urhobos in diaspora now have more information that has brightened up their paths to see our perspectives with an open mind.
Indeed the Convention provided me a strong platform to advance Civic Engagement, Good Governance advocacy, Value Orientation and to Mobilize diaspora support for His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
It was a great time and THE ADVOCACY CONTINIES!
...INDEED OKOWA LOVES URHOBO PEOPLE AND HE IS A BONAFIDE SON OF URHOBO NATION!
If you believe say 'I believe'.
