OFOBRUKU CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR OKOWA ON TRIBUNAL VICTORY

The Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State on legislative matters, Hon Efe Hon Ofobruku Efe has congratulated Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa on his victory at the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal on Friday.
Oforbruku hailed the Tribunal's verdict affirming the Governor's victory in the 2019 governorship polls and wished him a more successful second term.
Oforbruku speaking with news men at Asaba, the state capital, said the tribunal judgement which dismissed the petition brought by the
All Progressives Congress (APC) and her flag bearer, Chief Great Ogboru against Governor Okowa and the governing Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has demonstrated again that “the judiciary remains unimpressed by gimmickry and unfair media opinions planted by litigants.”
Speaking to news men Ofobruku said that “the Judiciary has again proved itself strong in the protection of democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria. I have never entertained any iota of doubt about today’s outcome because it was clear that Deltans voted overwhelmingly to re-elect the Governor".
Governor Okowa is a man of the people and a peace-loving statesman.
“The decision of the tribunal will definitely go a long way to solidify the faith of the masses in the courts. I felicitate with the PDP family and Deltans at home and in the diaspora.”
Ofobruku thereafter urged the APC and Ogboru, to accept the verdict in good faith and join hands with the governor to move the state forward.
Also in the mood of the victory Hon Oforbruku equally poured encomium on the Executive Governor of Delta State His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides in the state and urged all Deltans to support his administration, adding that better days are here with with Okowa in charge.
