OKPE GIRL CHILD INITIATIVE MAIDEN EDITION; THE DISTRIBUTION OF WRITING MATERIALS TO PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN OKPE KINGDOM

In her bid to make the education of the girl child in Okpe Kingdom a compulsory task for parents, A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) name OKPE GIRL CHILD INITIATIVE led by its Director General, Dr Beauty O Biokoro and its Coordinator, Comrade Mary Omamomor Pender Edah who is also the National Youth Coordinator Okpe Union Worldwide, were in various schools today across some of the districts of the Kingdom to give writing materials to primary schools as part of its social responsibilities.

Upon arrival The Director of the NGO Dr Beauty Biokoro and her team met with the head teachers of the various primary schools visited, where she admonish them to put in their best to see that the children get the best they needed in their academic pursuit for them to come out refined and better women in the society.

She also call on parents to make the training of the girl child their priority, She said the Okpe Girl Child Initiative is a foundation to liberate the Okpe girl child all forms of illiteracy; to be educated and literate thus; THE EDUCATION OF WOMEN IS THE BEST WAY TO SAVE THE SOCIETY.

Also present to appreciate the group is the Supersing Councillor for Education in Okpe Local Government Hon Godway E Eyaguobor, some stake holders in the districts visited including, Dr Nelson Ukoko of Ugborhen Community applauded the gesture of OKPE GIRL CHILD INITIATVE(OGCI).

The Director General of the NGO made a promise that the exercise will continue until it gets to all the districts in Okpe Kingdom

(1)Mereje 2 District:
     Iriama Pry School
     Opuraja Pry School  

(2) Elume District:
      Ochemu Pry School

(3) Ugborhen District:
      Ugborhen Pry School

(4) Ozue District:
      Okokporo, Pry School Okegborode
