GOV OKOWA GETS ENCOMIUMS FOR HIS STRIDES IN TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

The leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) led by Activist Sunday Adekanbi Asufu (President) and H/E DIO, Oghale Emeka Rex (President of the Senate) has commended the Gov of Delta State, Sen Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for giant strides in technical and vocational education.

This commendation came after the inspection of some vocational centers and technical schools in Delta State during a working visit to the Executive Secretary and Management of Delta State Technical and Vocational Education Board on Tuesday 3rd of December 2019 after their visit.

The delegation were amazed with the level of investment intervention and reform made by the Governor so far in the area of technical and vocational education viz-a-vis verifiable evidences and records which also have earned the Delta State Government the number one spot in the rating of NBTE and World Bank.

The leadership of NAPS also use the medium to call on respective state governments to emulate Gov Okowa of Delta State in the revitalization of technical schools and vocational centers with an aim of raising a population of skilled work force to drive a realistic independent economy.

The peak of the visit was when the executive secretary of the board took the NAPS team round the vocational centers for them to see themselves what trainees are doing with their own hands at the centers.
