GOV OKOWA PLEDGES TO SUPPORT NUPENG
The Governor of Delta state, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has pledged to support the National Union Of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) in their bid to build a multi billion naira tower for their operations.
The Governor made this promise when he laid the foundation for the tower at the union's secretariat in Lagos last week.
The Honourable commissioner for Oil and Gas, Prince Emman Amgbaduba who represented the Governor at the event, congratulated them for the feat.
'I am pleased to be associated with this laudable idea of building a befitting tower for one of Nigeria's most important unions. As a government, we'll continue to support you in your quest to get this tower completed. I congratulate the executive and members for this initiative.' He said.
The Governors of Delta and Lagos states performed the foundation laying ceremony which was chaired by the GMD of NNPC, Malam Mele Kyari.
