IGR GENERATION: LEAVING AN IMPRESSIVE LEGACIES IN TERMS OF IGR GENERATION IS MY MAJOR PRIORITY SAYS ONYEME.

The Executive Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Sir Monday John Onyeme has stated that leaving an Impressive Legacies in terms of IGR Generation and increasing the tax net is his major Priority.

He said its important for the Board to make a remarkable differences in the next four years by generating more revenue  for the Delta State Government for quick implementation of Programmes and Policies that will not only transformed the State to an enviable height but also to better the lives of the People.

Onyeme who made this assertion on Thursday 19/12/19 during the DBIR Board Meeting thanked the Delta State Governor Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for finding them worthy to serve again as Chairman and Board Members in this Second tenure of his administration, he reminded members present that though the Governor applauded them for the successes recorded in the last 4yrs but there are still much to be done revealing that the State needs more funds to execute projects that will better the lives of the People and we as a people must be up and doing.

He admonished all to re-examined the last four years and see where we as a Board have done excellently well,  where we have  not done well and where to improve on, so that the board  can put all together towards driving the Internally Generated Revenue to an excited state where there will be availability of funds for the Government to executes Projects for the betterment of Deltans.

While wishing all Present a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year celebration in advance , he appealed  to all to remove every element of sentiments during enforcement that is geared towards generating more revenue for the state, he said its important for us as a Board to meets the expectations of the Governor in other for him to achieve the Stronger Delta Agenda" In the drive to achieve excellence in the IGR Generation"We have a mandate and we must do everything to achieve that mandate " he added.

He maintained that there is more to achieve in road taxes noting that the Board will embarked  on a joint patrol to sanitize the system in ensuring that the board achieve greatly in road taxes" there are so many unlicenced vehicles, keke, motorcycles, there are a lots of car owners who has refused to renew their vehicle licences, we are not leaving any stone unturned" he added.

The DBIR Board Secretary Chief Mike Edegware Esq,  the DBIR Board Member Representing Delta North Senatorial District Chief Goddey Daniel Iwebuke in their seperate Contributions  highlighted points on how to raise more revenue from road taxes.
