A Boeing 737 belonging to Ukraine International Airlines has crashed after take-off from Imam Khomeini airport in Iran.
The Ukrainian plane had 180 passengers and crew aboard, the semi-official Fars news agency tweeted on Wednesday.
There was no further information immediately available.
According to Al Jazeera, the Ukrainian plane had been scheduled to take off at 5:15am Tehran time.
Its destination was Boryspil International Airport in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
However, the departure time was reportedly delayed until 6:12am.
All 180 passengers confirmed died, possibly Missile Attacks, but there is no official confirmation.
Al Jazeera reports that a ‘faint flicker of light’ was seen on a video posted by Iran’s ISNA news agency before an explosion after the plane spiraled downwards.
“First video of Ukrainian plane crashing near Shahriar,” the caption on the video reads.
