Chief of Staff Meets With Political Appointees

.. Charges them to be Committed


As part of efforts to facilitate the activities of Delta state political appointees in different parastatals to achieve a Stronger Delta, the Chief of Staff to Delta state Governor, Olorogun David Edevbie met with appointees to enable the relevant government functionaries to achieve their aims and objectives, just as he also used the medium to charged them to be committed to service delivery at all time.

The meeting which was grouped in batches according to hierarchy in appointment lasted for three days and was held in Asaba recently.

Speaking at the meeting the Chief of Staff, Olorogun David Edevbie posited,

"These meetings were called to enable the relevant government functionaries to achieve the following purposes in the State."

"To engage each other and agreed on responsibilities, deliverables, time frames and strategies,

"Agree to the support required from the office of the Chief of Staff and other relevant offices in the state."

Speaking further Olorogun David Edevbie also hinted that there is need to, "agree a framework for performance evaluation of political appointees.

However, the Secretary to Delta State Government, Barr Chiedu Ebie and other appointees who spoke during the meeting described the meeting as a welcome development.

According to them, "we are very impressed by this meeting, and we also believe that these kinds of meeting should be continuous to enhance unity and service delivery.

They also commended the Chief of Staff for his efforts in conveying such a  meeting of this nature to onboard procedures and highlight policies, rules and guidelines for political appointees.
