SHUN CRIMINAL VICES, AUGOYE ADVISES YOUTH
Youths have been advised to be patient and hard working to achieve their goals in life and shun all criminal vices that are inimical to the set goals.
The Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye gave the advice during a send forth ceremony organised for corps members who did their one year NYSC in the ministry.
Chief Augoye who was represented by the Director of Highways, Engr Joshua Egube, admonished the corps members to shun the get-rich-quick syndrome attitude and be focused, hardworking as the money they look for, would definitely come.
According to the Commissioner, “Rome was not built in a day. Don’t go into criminal activities that will destroy your life. It takes time to make it, though it is not easy but be patient, you will definitely make it.”
He urged them to leverage on the experiences they have garnered in the ministry during their service year to do something meaningful for themselves in life.
Representing the other corps members, Mr Taiwo Ogunsakin, thanked the Commissioner, management and the entire staff of the Ministry of Works for the conducive environment provided during the one year serve while pledging to put into use the experience gotten from the ministry during the service year.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of souvenir and transport fare to the corps members by the Director of Highway, Engr Joshua Ebube and others.
