AS FUPRE APPOINTS A NEW VICE CHANCELLOR.
✓ The leadership of FUPRE Alumni Association Worldwide led by Mr. Obaro Egagifo has spoken as critical stakeholders on the need for the University Council to appoint a new Vice Chancellor that understands the Dynamics of the University.
✓ We request that The Governing Council of FUPRE considers the following qualities in appointing the new Vice Chancellor;
• The person must be familiar with challenges facing the institution.
• The person must be a credible candidate with vast experience in the oil and gas industry and running of a specialized University like ours.
• The person must have been a founding member of our University or a person that understands the sacrifices of our Heroes’ past.
✓ As an Alumni body, We are ready to engage the new Vice Chancellor on some abnormalities within our University that needs be corrected, to further save the image of our great Alma Mata.
✓ As a critical stakeholder in the development and progress of the University, we shall stand against appointing unqualified candidate who doesn't understand the numerous challenges of our Alma mata.
✓ We pray God to guide and direct the decision of The Governing Council under the leadership of Prof. Shehu Zuru in appointing a visionary Vice Chancellor who will implement the ideas of the founding fathers of our great institution.
