The Executive Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Sir Monday John Onyeme has charged student leaders to pursue the goal to achieve excellence and also to be serious with the studies.
Onyeme who made this assertion today at the DBIR Headquarters when he played host to the delegation of Federated Union Of Ndokwa Students (FUNS) said as a Students you must study very hard in other to come out with flying colours, he advised them to be dedicated and focused in their studies.
He maintained that their studies is more important than any other thing in the campus, adding that they should not see the union as a Political Party by moving from one office to another visiting People admonishing them to focused on the academics and distance themselves from any social vices that will terminate their education.
He maintained that his Scholarship Programme Championed by the Monday Onyeme's Foundation is an annual events that started from his ward and later extended to all wards in Ndokwa Nation, he said the essence of the scholarship is to promotes excellence amongst Ndokwa Students noting that the Process is transparent and the basis of selection is based on your Performance after the aptitude test. "We dont allocates slots to leaders in my Scholarship Programme, we dont allocates slots to Union Presidents, its strictly on merit" he added.
"Apart from my Annual Scholarship Programme, i have been doing other things to boost the education of students across Ndokwa Nation, i have built a mini library that is well furnished for the good of Students , i have Constructed classrooms to enhance the educational pursuits of Students and presently under the Monday Onyeme's Foundation i am distributing learning materials to Secondary and Primary Schools across Ndokwa Nation where every Wards will enjoy the distribution
Earlier, the President of Federated Union Of Ndokwa Students (FUNS) Comr Epechi Bright applauded the Executive Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue for standing tall behind the educational growth and development of Ndokwa Sons and Daughters.
Speaking during the visit, he said the Executives of FUNS find it neccessary to visit you because you have demonstrated so much rare gesture towards the entire Ndokwa Students, you have showcased capacity via your constant assistance through your foundation in boosting the academic pursuits of Students across Ndokwa Nation.
He congratulated Sir Monday John Onyeme on his re-appointment as Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, he said "You have been investing in the educational growth of Students of Ndokwa Extraction which i believe will definitely yield the best interest, i want to encourage you to continue the good work as you have always contributed in the massive Development of Ndokwa Nation, we are aware of your Annual Scholarship Programme which some of our members are beneficiaries, we want to Partner with you as regards to our upcoming activities"
