COVID 19: Edevbie Distributes Food Items to The People of Afiesere Community

As part of efforts to cushion the effect of the 14 days stays at home order by Delta State Government, to prevent the spread of the corona-virus, the Chief of  Staff to Delta State Governor, Olorogun David Edevbie has distributed food items worth millions of naira to his people in Afiesere community in Ughelli North LGA Delta State.

Distributing the food items to the people, the Chief of Staff who was ably represented by Mr Dafe Tobi and his COVID 19 Sensitization Team noted that

"As a result of the fourteen days stay at home order by the state government l have decided to distribute these food items to you people to help cushion  the effect of Governments order."

The Chief of Staff, however, use this medium to call on the people to comply with the state government order to help prevent the corona-virus spread, adding that one of the primary duties of the government, is to protect the life of its citizens" Olorogun Edevbie added.

The items distributed included bags of rice, gallons of vegetable oil, bags of salt,
cartons of medium Titus fish,
and boxes of tin tomatoes.

Speaking to journalists at the end of the distribution, one of the leaders of the community, PDP Ward Chairman, Mr Lucky Ikporo described the gesture as a welcome development calling on the people to share the food items according to the quarters in the community.

Also speaking to journalists, the councillor representing Ughelli North Ward 7, Hon. Benjamin Idoghor, and the PRO of Afiesere community, Mr Precious Orishedere and others who also spoke in the same vein, commended the Chief of Staff for the items he gave out to the community to cushion the effect of the stay at home order, assuring that the items will be distributed to the people accordingly.
