COVID-19: Okowa commend Heritage Oil for donating medical items and palliatives-- Directreporters

Delta state government has appreciated the management of Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited for donating various healthcare items and food palliatives to the state government.

Honourable Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Prince Emman Amgbaduba on behalf of the Executive Governor of Delta State while receiving the donated items in Ughelli on Thursday thanked the management of Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL) for its commitment towards the welfare of the people in its area of operation.

He stated that “ what you have done today is highly commendable and we appreciate your commitment towards the welfare of our people”

Prince Amgbaduba further encouraged oil companies operating in the state to support the state government’s efforts towards addressing the challenges of COVID-19 by donating medical supplies and food items to the state government as well as its host communities.

Mr. Sylvester Okoh, General Manager Government Relations of Heritage Oil who presented the items on behalf of the company which will be handed over to CDB chairman for equal distribution to all the communities in OML 30.

Mr Sylvester thanked the governor for providing the right leadership at this time when the world is at a cross road in the battle to defeat COVID-19.

Prince Amgbaduba thanked Heritage Oil for the items, and asked the CDB Chairman to ensure equal distribution and called on the people of the area to keep to the directive of the Governor on the lockdown.  He also asked all Oil companies in Delta that have not donated to emulate Heritage Oil and those that have done to try and donate more

Amgbaduba also thanked deltans for showing understanding with the Governor in these hard times by adhering to the government’s decision to lockdown the state in a bid to curb the spread of the dreaded coronavirus in the Delta.

Items donated include 50 infra-red temperature gun, two hundred litres of hand sanitizers, 5,000 hand gloves, and 5,000 nose masks which will be distributed amongst identified healthcare facilities across the 12 clusters in OML 30.

The company also donated 560 bags of rice to the communities through the cluster management committees of OML 30.
