ACTUALIZING GOV. OKOWA'S STRONGER DELTA AGENDA IS DBIR'S MAJOR PRIORITY --- ONYEME.
The Executive Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Sir Monday John Onyeme has Stated that Actualizing the Stronger Delta Agenda of the Okowa's led administration remains the major Priority of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue.
He said Infrastructural Development, Human Capital Development, Good Roads Network, Youths Empowerment, boosting the health Sectors with Mordern facilities, Conducive Market Environment for traders and lots of more embedded in the Stronger Delta Agenda of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa's led administration can be achieved quickly with Continous Increase in the Internally Generated Revenue of the State, hence no stone will be left unturned in ensuring that the State experience Continous growth in the IGR in other for Deltans to continue to get the best in terms of the dividends of Democracy.
Onyeme who made this assertion expressed confidence that the state will experience Continous growth in not only IGR Generation but also the tax net filled with fresh taxpayers, he urged DBIR staffs to be Steadfast and Committed towards achieving the mandate that will not only announced the State Infrastructures globally but will also better the lives of the People.
He called on Deltans most especially taxable Persons to embrace taxation in totality noting that the more taxes we pay, the more government provides basic amenities for all of us, since government owes it as a duty to provide for the welfare and security of its citizens. We also owe government the duty to pay our taxes promptly." We will not treat non-compliance with kid gloves because its a huge sign of irresponsibility for a citizen to evade paying his or her taxes which is also a serious offence punishable by law" he added.
